Destination Photography / Jennifer Trash the Dress Cancun

Jennifer Trash the dress

Location: Cancun, Mexico

We shot jennifer’s bridal in Cancun, Mexico. we drove down the coast of cancun and visited an old mayan ruins called Tulum. Tulum is known as one of the worlds only mayan civilization built facing the Caribbean sea. It was built high and overlooking the Caribbean sea, providing the mayans with a perfect view of what’s coming from the sea. The area is also surrounded by the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. This was great for protection but didn’t stop the invaders and soon the mayans abandoned Tulum.

Enough with the history and more about the photos..hehehe..We picked this location due to the beautiful rock formation that rises up from the caribbean sea providing a wall of stones that’s perfect for jennifer to be climbing on top of with her dress..lol..After a couple hours of shoot and attracting attention a couple of guys approached us with walkie talkies and said “let’s go” we asked why and all they said was “lets go” we were then escorted out of tulum. They then took us into a room and had a person talk to us, but we couldn’t really understand each other because our spanish was not good and their english was not good as well.

But it all came down to, we must delete all the photos because we shot at a federal property and needed a permission to be taking photos with a professional camera and a wedding dress. I wanted to cry and thought about tricking him and changing out the card but he said let me see the photos. I then showed him the photos and he said “these are good pictures” after viewing them he had me delete about 10 images and send us on our way. And that’s our long story on the Tulum photoshoot. These photos do really have more than a thousand words..hahaha enjoy the photos…
